Pi's Liver Cake
All our dogs are on their best behaviour when a fresh batch of Liver Cake has been baked. A high meat, protein treat, many of you will know how much your dogs enjoy it when you visit us on stand. We are always being asked for the recipe - its easy to make in a liquidiser or blender.
- 1/2 lb flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1/2lb fresh liver - Oz or Lamb is pawfect
- 2 eggs
- Liquidise liver with the two eggs until it is broken down to small pieces.
- Add the flour and baking power until combined, it looks like a thick cake mixture.
- Spread on a baking parchment lined baking tray / swiss roll tin.
- Bake 20 mins at 180 degrees C, turn oven off and leave in oven to cool.
- Cut into doggy treat size pieces, cool completely.
- Keeps for a few days in an air tight jar.
- Can be frozen, so I often double the amount and freeze in handy amounts
