These exceptional baskets are woven from indigenous veta vera grasses, commonly known as Elephant Grass, sourced from Northern Ghana. The intricate crafting process takes up to three days, as the grass is harvested, split, hand-rolled, and dyed, resulting in a product that is not only functional but also a work of art.

This artisanal endeavour significantly contributes to the livelihoods of local communities, particularly in the face of challenging agricultural conditions exacerbated by poor rainfall and drought.
