Beautiful, individual handwoven dog baskets available in three sizes - Small, Medium and Large.

Each basket is woven from indigenous veta vera grasses in Northern Ghana - also known as Elephant Grass. Each dog basket takes up to three days to weave by hand after the Ghanaian grass has been harvested, split, hand-rolled and dyed.

An optional comfort mat with a firm natural latex inner, covered in a plain dry wax cotton cover that is zipped for washing - or with the dry waxed surface can be wiped free of muddy footprints!

Agricultural work is the mainstay of most weavers’ family incomes, but poor rainfall and drought makes life extremely challenging. Basket weaving, and producing these exquisite woven baskets, brings women and men the opportunity to earn a valuable second income.
